I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything. Part of it was because I was working for dad when I got back from Wyoming, I had carpal tunnel surgery in January on my right hand, and then I went up to Eleven Mile State Park and worked for Colorado Parks and Wildlife for the summer. I gave my two weeks at Eleven Mile on July 20 because my boss was singling me out and being hard on me when I made a mistake or didn't do something quite right. It's been a frustrating summer, to say the least. I've been coming home more than I anticipated this summer just to have a break for a little while. That's ok, except for the fact that one of my housemates wants to do the "touristy" stuff - she's from PA and this is the first time Crystal has been to Colorado. When I come home, it is a nice break, but Crystal tends to stay at home and not do the touristy stuff. I've invited her to come home with me but she hasn't accepted my offer yet.
Other than that, I've been applying for jobs any chance I can get. I haven't followed up on all of them - and I know I really should. It's hard to do that when the only internet is at the park office and I'm only allowed to check my email and apply for jobs when it's really slow or just before I close the office. We don't have internet at the house and it would be a little pricey to get internet that we could all use - we're out in (basically) the middle of nowhere. That's ok. It's been nice not being connected all the time. :-) I get to enjoy these most every night:
I'm going to try to write an update every week. We'll see how that goes...
